Curleys wife is not what the men made her seem to be. She was just a young lady was very lonely and stuck. Her dreams of becoming an actress were crushed by her mother not allowing her to go on.Not ever receiving the promised letters from the man who told her she could be in films her little old her was crushed. To her she had no choice but to go ahead and marry Curley to get away from her mother. But with Curley she was still miserable so she did little things to entertain herself. Although the things she did it may had seem a little trampy. She had no girlfriends to socialize with she was surrounded by nothing but men and a with a man she didn't love.
