Should Huckleberry Finn be taught In School

Huckleberry Finn was a good book. It's realistic of the south with slavery and illiterate people and the whites and blacks troubles. To many people this book is controversial because of a couple issues like the use of the word nigga over 50 times. And how they made the slave Jim act in this book like all black people act that way like a stereotype. Here are my three reasons why to me it is not controversial.

My first reason for why huckleberry should be taught in school is that you can learn about the old south from this book. Like how blacks in whites interacted back then. Also how people treated back in general. You can learn about racism and how some whites can be kind hearted. Although it says the word nigger over and over again it's no harm because that's what really happened, they didn't walk around saying kind words to African Americans back then so why lie to us now.

My second reason is that some people say that it is racist but to me it is the truth of the south and the truth should be told. There shouldn't nothing held back even thou it is a little racist but it is the truth about the old south. This shows that not only blacks but poor white people with no education weren't treated that great either. They weren't treated as badly as African Americans but they weren't treated as well as rich white folks with an education.

My last reason is because it is probably controversial to some people that means it is not to others. And the controversy makes it a very good story. I don't know why people say it controversial but what isn't controversial theses days. I like the book and who ever doesn't oh well there missing out on a great book.

Huckleberry Finn is a good book. It is very positive about the south because it didn't make up no lies and kind of hept the truth. It's very good in so many different ways and to me understandable. Also so what it is controversial that is a good book then if it has controversy because it's being ta;liked about. These are my three reasons why it should be taught in school it would be Good book to learn from and a wonderful experience.
